From our chairman, Ani Boxer:
It has been another great year for the Londonfurs community!
We have overcome a lot of issues including a move from our old bar as well as another successful summer weekender. This year has also seen a large influx of new attendees who have become regulars at our events, and amazing support from the community as a whole.
Now the… mmm… bad news? Actually, not bad – it’s good, just different! Our last three meets of the year have some clashes at our usual venue so we will be going on tour!
12th October 2019: This meet will be held at the Tank & Paddle, 3 Mincing Lane, EC3R 7AA (our summer party venue). Happy hours 3pm – 5pm. Ciders (bottled and tapped) and selected cocktails @ £5 each. The venue also does amazing food which will be available throughout.
2nd November 2019: Return to Jamies! This meet will be a emotional return to the old favourite formally known as Jamies now known as “The Conductor”, 1 Fleet Place, Farringdon, EC4M 7RD. They are offering 2 x Cocktails for £12 and £2 off G&T, as well as a full menu for us to enjoy.
23rd November 2019: Back we go to America Square Revolution, where drinks deals and food will be the same as always!
We have kept the same schedule of dates so as not to clash with pre-made plans and hope that everyone is as excited as we are. If these meets go well, we will consider moving around the city more, so attendees can experience more of our great city (we will of course give as much notice as possible).
Our Xmas party this year sadly can no longer be at Amber bar as it closed indefinitely, so this year we will be going back to Tank & Paddle, 3 Mincing Lane, EC3R 7AA. It will be on 7 December 2019 and will run from midday to 11pm with all the usual festivities.
Finally, last but not least, LondonFurs runs on purchases made at the locations we hire out. While we understand people will take preference where they spend their money, it is vitally important we meet our targets at these venues, otherwise we won’t be able to continue. Please help us keep the meets running or we may have to reduce the amount we do each year.
