Día de Los Muertos is a popular holiday celebrated in Latin American countries and is especially popular in Mexico. This holiday celebrates the lives of people who have died and it is believed that the souls of the dead come back to visit their loved ones. Contrary to popular belief, Día de Los Muertos is not a sad or depressing time but a time of happiness and celebration!
Despite being the wrong time of year (Día de Los Muertos is held in November) we still thought this was a brilliant theme choice, with great potential for vivid, colourful costumes and conveying just the right kind of carnival vibe! Dressing up is highly encouraged (but not mandatory) and we'll be doing our best to theme the boat and venues accordingly.
The legendary boat party returns in style aboard the best-equipped party boat on the Thames – The MV Erasmus – for four solid hours of music to get your tail shaking. Crystal clear, floor-shaking sound and an immersive, full-dancefloor lighting system that blows everything else out of the water. Want some downtime away from the music? We've got you covered: below deck is a luxuriously subdued chillout lounge spanning the whole length of the boat.
We have 200 early-bird tickets available. We're sold out!
Standard ticket price is £25.
Want to bring your fursuit? We have an extremely limited number of bag tickets if you need to bring a case with your costume. These will go on sale with the tickets on a first come, first serve basis.
The fabulous Agenda Bar will host us exclusively for the whole day. A stylish café bar and club in the City, tucked away in a courtyard, Agenda is filled with light, comfy seats and good times. With a large covered outside area, it's fine whatever the weather.
The venue is one level split into two - the main bar hosts one of the city’s longest feature bars of 60 ft and the second is a dedicated nightclub with dancefloor for you to show off those moves!
This event is, and always will be, absolutely free to attend. You will (of course) still have to pay for your own drinks and food. Food will be available from the venue from 2pm – 8pm serving typical bar food and platters for sharing.
From 5pm until 7pm it's Happy Hour! 50% off all drinks – from Coke to Champagne – so you've every excuse to have a good time!
We've organised the boat dock - Tower Millennium Pier - to be near to the Saturday meet venue. This is just a short walk from the Agenda Bar and will make finding a place to stay much less hassle! We've already done hotel research and discovered that this area is very affordable to stay in: Rest Up London (a hostel) is available for £30 a night per person. The Ibis London City is £82 pp, the City Hotel is £69 pp and the London Eye Hostel is £26 pp.
